Thomas and Jordan Wynn (rhythm and bass guitar, respectively) come from Southern rock stock: Their drummer/dad, Tom, was on the first album by Capricorn recording artists Cowboy, and before that he was in Florida garage rockers We the People with Cowboy comrade Tommy Talton.
Unofficial family member Lee Simpson handles lead and slide guitar duties, while Olivia Wynn adds harmony to her brothers’ vocals.
The family connection keeps the group tight. The disc’s title says it all, as this inaugural full-length is packed with some of the best music to come out of the Sunshine State since someone with the initials T.P. and his backup band, the Heartbreakers.
Finely crafted songs plus unique singing, excellent musicianship and a vibe somewhere between laid-back and jamming equals 2006’s most refreshing act thus far. Feel the good, indeed.
